Steven Adler Joins GNR In Cincinnati

Guns N’ Roses stunned fans in Cincinnati on Wednesday when they were joined onstage by former drummer Steven Adler for the first time in 26 years.

Axl Rose,  Slash and Duff McKagan are currently touring, following their big reunion earlier this year, but Adler was not invited to the party and the trio instead hit the road for their Not in this Lifetime trek with keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus and drummer Frank Ferrer.

However, that all changed on Wednesday as GNR hit the stage at Cincinnati’s Paul Brown Stadium, where Axl delighted fans by introducing a familiar face to the crowd. “On the drums, you might know this guy,” the singer quipped. “Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Steven Adler.”They then launched into “Out Ta Get Me” and followed it up with “My Michelle”.

Adler last performed with GNR in 1990, when he was kicked out of the group following a series of substance abuse issues. He was replaced by Matt Sorum.
