There is a new documentary about the making of Michael Jackson’s “Off The Wall” album and it is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah later this month, before debuting on TV in February.
It is co-produced by Spike Lee, who made the “Bad 25” documentary four years ago, and the Thriller star’s estate bosses John Branca and John McClain, Michael Jackson’s Journey From Motown to Off the Wall will chronicle the 1979 album that established the King of Pop as a true superstar.
The film will feature archival footage of Jackson and new interviews with members of his family and stars The Weeknd, Pharrell Williams, and John Legend, among others.
