1960
The “Coal Miner’s Daughter” Loretta Lynn makes her debut at the Grand Ole Opry.
1964
Britain’s Screaming Lord Sutch fails in his attempt to unseat Prime Minister Harold Wilson. This comes on the heels of Sutch’s hit “Jack the Ripper”.
1971
Rick Nelson is shocked when he is booed at the seventh annual Rock n Roll Revival Show at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Nelson was trying to make a comeback with his newly formed Stone Canyon Band. He had hits in previous months covering two Bob Dylan tunes including “She Belongs to Me”, but the MSG crowd wanted his hits from the fifties and sixties. In response he writes one of his biggest hits, “Garden Party”. There are also hidden references to former Beatles George Harrison (his next door neighbor) and John Lennon who were at the show.
2015
Concert goers got a surprise at the Zombies show when Graham Nash stopped by to say hello to his old friends. Nash was appearing at the nearby Hard Rock Casino in Northfield.

Youngstown fans got a rare chance to see not only CSNY’s Stephen Stills but the muse who inspired “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes”, folk legend Judy Collins.
