Singer-songwriter Melaine has passed away at the age of 76. She was best known for her hit song “Brand New Key” as well as performing at Woodstock and her numerous other hits of the 60s, 70s, and beyond. The news was announced yesterday via a post on her Facebook.
Melanie performed multiple times in the region including several visits to The Kent Stage in Kent, Ohio.
