If your in the mood to go to a festival, listen to some great music and not drive cross country then you really need to check out the Borderland Music Festival in East Aurora, N.Y. located less than 20 miles south of Buffalo, the sixth year of the event will feature 3-days of internationally-acclaimed music, regional artisans, and locally-curated food and drink. This beautiful Knox Farm stables set the backdrop for 25+ bands on two stages throughout the weekend.
This year’s headliners include rock legends The Black Crowes after a four-plus year hiatus and rising stars of the indie-folk scene, Caamp. The 2024 lineup also features southern-rocker Marcus King, big-band extraordinaire Cory Wong and the country’s most authentic Grateful Dead show, Dark Star Orchestra. Borderland Festival is proud to bring The Wood Brothers and The Sheepdogs black to East Aurora for the first time in 4 years to help celebrate the festival’s 6th Year. Rounding out the can’t-miss lineup are reggae’s most famous backing-band The Wailers alongside nationally-touring bands Houndmouth, Sierra Hull, Eggy, The Dip, Wilderado and the Grammy-nominated NOLA-roots band, The Rumble. Caamp’s lead singer Taylor Meier will perform a second show with his band Sumbuck featuring members of Hiss Golden Messenger.
Representing Western New York’s local music scene for this year will be Handsome Jack, Annie In The Water, Folk faces Tribute to “John Prine”, Uncle Ben’s Remedy, Big Martha: An Allman Brothers Experience, Fuzzy & The Rusbelts, Borderland Dead All-Stars, Buffalo Brass Machine, and Buffalo Music Club’s “Borderland Band Camp”. Returning for the first time in five years will be the Battle Of the Borderland Band Contest where one lucky band will be selected to fulfill the remaining Main Stage slot at this year’s festival.
For the second year in a row, Borderland Festival has partnered with Kissing Bridge Ski Resort to provide an inexpensive, fun and safe lodging alternative for the 3-day festival. Tent & RV camping options are available alongside the ticket on sale. Complimentary festival parking is included with an option to purchase a weekend shuttle pass to and from the camping area at Kissing bridge, located less than 20 minutes away from the festival.
