We’ve all been waiting for the new Black Sabbath album they announced that was going to be the last one but it’s being reported that Black Sabbath have opted against recording the final album.
In an interview with the New Orleans’ Times-Picayune, Ozzy Osbourne said that the band’s plans have changed and they are no longer proceeding with the new album. The news was also confirmed to Rolling Stone by a representative for the band.
“It’s the end of Sabbath, believe me,” he said. “In December, I’ll be fucking 68 and I think it’s time to call it the end of the day. I’m not saying I won’t get on stage with Geezer or Tony (Iommi) or any of them some time, but officially we’re going to be done. I don’t want it to dwindle and dwindle and play just for the sake of making another fucking sack full of cash. So it’s time, and then I’ll go back to doing my own thing.”
The band will prepare for their farewell tour “The End” which launches on January 20 in Omaha, Nebraska.
