Dan Aykroyd Takes Us Back To The Origins Of The Blues Brothers

Dan Aykroyd has a new audio documentary where he recounts how he and the late John Belushi became the legendary band of stage, TV and film, The Blues Brothers.

“Blues Brothers: The Arc of Gratitude” comes 48 years after the duo’s first appearance on “Saturday Night Live” in 1976 and their 1978 movie. The documentary is narrated by Aykroyd and it features commentary from multiple collaborators and includes a previously unreleased interview with John Belushi, who died in 1982.

“This is a journey through American music, centered around the recordings and performances of the Blues Brothers,” Aykroyd says in the intro. “These stories from myself and my friends and colleagues are told the best of our recollection. Many songs are referenced – put them all on a playlist, and you’ll have a party record such as no other.”

Aykroyd is joined by collaborators including “The Blues Brothers” director and co-screenwriter John Landis, Jim Belushi, Judy Belushi Pisano, Paul Shaffer, Curtis Salgado and Steve Jordan as he “gets the band back together” to take listeners on a road trip through time.

This is a fun listen for us fans of the Blues Brothers. It is available on Audible on July 25th
