Former Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour announced he is putting out a new album “Luck And Strange” his first new solo album in nearly a decade since the release of “Rattle That Lock” in 2015. The album include a posthumous appearance from Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright who passed away in 2008. The new album will be released on September 6th via Sony Music.
Gilmour will preview “Luck And Strange” on Thursday April 27th when he unveils it’s first single, “The Piper’s Call.” The album was co-produced by Gilmour and Charlie Andrew and was recorded over five months. Contributors on the album include Guy Pratt, Tom Herbert, Adam Betts, Steve Gadd, Steve DiStanislao, Rob Gentry, Roger Eno and Will Garder.
