This week David Gilmour announced the coming arrival of his new album “Luck And Strange” and now he has given us a taste by releasing the first song off the album “The Piper’s Call”.
The song is more like the songs off his last solo album “Rattle That Lock” than a Pink Floyd tune but that’s okay. One thing the song gives us is a lot of solo work by Gilmour, a lot more than he has been doing on his solo work especially the solo on the outro. It’s hard to believe he is 78 years old and still sounds this good.
