What were listening to this week….
Go All The Way – The Raspberries
Here’s to Cleveland rocker Eric Carmen who passed at age 74 last weekend. He certainly went “all the way” with this one and many others. RIP – Pritch
Problems – Arizona
I first heard Arizona back in 2015 listening to satellite radio and I’ve been a fan ever since! This tune was released in 2019. Arizona is an Indie band from New Jersey that is well worth discovering. – Dom
I’m Shipping Up To Boston – Dropkick Murphys
It’s March what else am I listening to so I can get ready for St. Patricks Day, plus it’s just a great kick ass song. – Bear
High And Low – Empire Of The Sun
Here is a fun one from a band from Australia that’s been around since 2007. This tune has a great mind-expanding video. Can You guess what they sing about? The answer is in the lyrics. An uplifting toe tapping tune. – Dom
The Fever – Southside Johnny And The Asbury Jukes
Even though the song is for a girl, there is also fever for March Madness. Bring one the games, the brackets and of course, the song! – Pritch
Waiting To Live – Michael McFarland
This little known song is one of my favorite songs to listen to around St. Pat’s. McFarland tapped into the Irish angst even if he didn’t mean too – Bear
Go Now – The Magnificent Moodies
This classic tune is on the first album of one of rock’s all-time greats, The Moody Blues featured the great Denny Laine in the beginning. Denny went on to spend many years with Paul McCartney and Wings. – Dom
Midnight In Harlem – Tedeschi Trucks Band
To say this song is soulful doesn’t do it justice. Susan Tedeschi’s vocals just sail intertwined with Derek Trucks slide work makes this song just seep into your inner soul – Bear
Ain’t Going Down This Time – Billy Joe Royal
Here’s a soulful tune from an underappreciated artist. Known for Poke Salad Annie he was so much more than one tune. His voice is unique, and his guitar work will grab you. Thank goodness He left us with a full catalog of tunes to discover. – Dom
