Opening up the 2025 Happy Together tour at MGM Northfield Park was the true life Partridge Family, The Cowsills featuring Susan Cowsill, Bob Cowsill Band and Paul Cowsill.
Set included The Rain, The Park and Other Things, Hair, Love American Style and Indian Lake.
Second on the set was The Vogues. Unfortunately there are no original members, but did a great job covering the hits – Five O’Clock World, You’re The One, My Special Angel and Turn Around, Look At Me.
Third on the set was Gary Puckett – Looking and sounding as great as ever. Gary wowed the sold out crowd with several of his many hits with the Union Gap – Woman, Woman, Lady WIllpower, This Girl Is A Woman Now and Young Girl.
Fourth on the set was Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Little Anthony. Still hitting all the notes, the crowd sang along with Tears On My Pillow, Goin’ Out Of My Head, Hurts So Bad, and the song he says is “stupid” but sold a lot of records, Shimmy Shimmy Ko Ko Bop.
The next to last act was Jay and the Americans. Unfortunately, founding members Sandy Deanne and Marty Sanders were not well and did not perform. The vocals of Jay Reincke (Jay III) are superb and very much like the iconic Jay Black.
Rocking the crowd with hits Only In America, Come A Little Bit Closer, Cara Mia and This Magic Moment.
The final act for the 2025 Happy Together Tour was The Turtles. Unfortunately, Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman are both ill and unable to perform, but Ron Dante, former lead singer of The Archies and The CuffLinks, has performed the Tour with Mark many times and put on a great show.
The sold out crowd was on the feet dancing and singing to Elenore, It Ain’t Me Babe, She’d Rather Be WIth Me, Sugar Sugar, and of course Happy Together.
