The Akron Civic theatre’s Club @ the Civic presents “Home for Christmas” – Helen Welch CD Launch and Concert on Saturday, November 20, 2016 at 7:00 PM.
Join sultry song-stylist and entertainer Helen Welch with her quartet of musicians to celebrate the release of Helen’s much awaited debut Christmas album “Home for Christmas” The album contains an eclectic mix of beautifully arranged holiday songs to get you into the Christmas spirit. Listening to the album is like opening Christmas presents – each song a new surprise! From a stunning version of The Christmas Song paired with a Bach cello concerto played by classical guitarist Adam Keeler and Helen’s beautiful new original song and the title track of the album; “Home for Christmas”. Also included is cool jazz waltz arrangement of “Merry Christmas Darling” as well as the gorgeous Stevie Wonder song “If It’s Magic”. You are going to want to make this album part of your collection to listen to each and every holiday time!
Joining Helen will be her fabulous quartet; Joe Leaman on piano, Bryan Thomas on bass, Anthony Taddeo on drums and Adam Keeler on guitar.
