Janet Jackson has postponed her “Unbreakable” world concert tour in order to undergo surgery including her scheduled date in Cleveland on February 2, 2016.
She wrote the following on her Facebook page: “I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon, It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time.”
The 49-year-old singer did not disclose what sort of surgery she needed.
Jackson, a nominee this year for the Rock Hall of Fame, also promised fans that all the gigs would be rescheduled and that already-purchased tickets would be honored. The tour was supporting her 11th studio album, “Unbreakable,” had been scheduled to begin on January 9 in Denver and go until the end of June.
