Motorhead was forced to cancel a show at Max Schmeling Halle in Berlin Germany on Friday after guitarist Phil Campbell was taken to a hospital with an undisclosed illness.
A statement from band frontman Lemmy reads: “With great regret, Motorhead have to cancel the sold out show in Berlin. Our brother, guitarist Phil Campbell suddenly required hospitalization. He will be better soon but there is no choice other than to cancel our show in Berlin. We all wish Phil a speedy recovery.”
This is just the latest in a series of health problems for the band that wrecked recent shows. They had to cancel six dates on the band’s U.S. tour in September as Lemmy battled a lung infection. The group also had to cancel a show in Paris, France over the weekend following the terror attacks on the city.
Lemmy and his bandmates are still reeling from the death of former drummer Phil Taylor, who died from liver failure.
