Patrick Carney Sends Out Cryptic Tweet About Tour Cancellation

Everyone was shocked when the Black Keys announced in May they cancelled their International Players tour which would have seen them play 31 dates around North America in support of their latest album, “Ohio Players”. There were rumors of lack of ticket sales but no real explanation was given about the cancellation expect for a short statement from the band.

“Following the recent run of shows in the UK & Europe, including stops at iconic venues like Brixton Academy and the Zenith in Paris, we have decided to make some changes to the North American leg of the International Players Tour that will enable us to offer a similarly exciting, intimate experience for both fans and the band, and will be announcing a revised set of dates shortly.”

Then last week out of nowhere it was announced that the band split with their management team led by Irving Azoff, former Ticketmaster CEO and longtime manager of the Eagles after three years.

Then this from Carney on X

The story keeps getting better and better….Stay tuned
