Let the arguments begin but personally I think this years class is one of the better ones. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame has announced it’s 2016 Inductees and they are:
Chicago
Deep Purple
Cheap Trick
Steve Miller
N.W.A.
The 2016 class was chosen by more than 800 members of the Hall’s voting committee, which includes artists, historians and music industry members. To be eligible for nomination, the acts must have released their first single or album at least 25 years ago (in this case, 1990 or earlier).
In the online fan vote, conducted on multiple sites, Chicago led with 23.4%, followed by Yes, The Cars, Deep Purple and Miller. The aggregate of the fan vote counted as a ballot in the official voting. Winners of the past two fan votes, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble in 2015, and Kiss in 2014 ended up making it into the Hall.
Missing out this year were Chaka Khan, The Smiths, The Cars, The JB’s, The Spinners, Nine Inch Nails, Chic and Janet Jackson.
