The 80’s Were In Full Force At Blossom

The “Fountain Of Youth” was flowing at Blossom Music Center last night with the artists of the Totally Tubular 80’s Festival were pouring it freely.

Thomas Dolby, Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Modern English, Wang Chung Band, Annabella “The Original” Bow Wow Wow, Tommy Tutone, and Eddie Munoz of The Plimsouls had the crowd dancing, singing along, taking restroom breaks (Much needed for the 1980’s teenagers that made up the largest part of the crowd.) and this morning feeling the aches and pains of Rock N’ Rolling all night long.

Each band played their hits along with some of their deeper tracks. Every single band member, of each and every band, were smiling just as big as the crowd was. This Totally Tubular Tour was just simply, a “Blast”!

The best part of the night was seeing all of the various members on the side of the stage rocking out with the band that was playing on stage. During Tommy Tutone’s “867-5309” he was joined on stage by some of the other band members. Then during Men Without Hats (who, in my opinion, had the best set of the night) “Safety Dance”, there were a lot of other band members doing the “Safety Dance” on the back of the stage. It was the last night of the tour and at the end of Thomas Dolby’s set, each and every band came back on stage and joined in the jam.

A great concert tour that got a lot of the 80’s teenagers out to a show that put their youth right back into them!
“You Can Dance If You Want To….!” INDEED!
