1959
Wait a minute!  She’s how old?  Chuck Berry is arrested for transporting a 14-year old girl across state lines.  Berry gets a five-year jail sentence that is later dropped after the judge is said to have made racist remarks.
1966
Tommy James inadvertently lines mob connection and record label owner Morris Levy’s pockets with royalties when he records “I Think We’re Alone Now”.
1974
Tis the season!  Linda Ronstadt joins James Taylor, Carly Simon and Joni Mitchell singing Christmas carols around Los Angeles.  It may have given Linda an idea for an album.
1976
Joe Walsh’s first LP with the Eagles, Hotel California, rises to the top of the charts for an eight-week run.
1978
ABBA splits…or at least part of the band as Agnetha Falkstad and – Bjorn Ulvaeus announce their separation and eventual divorce.
