It wasn’t as much a hit in Britain, but the Zombies get a big reception in the US with “Tell Her No”.
1968
100,000 attend the first major rock festival on the east coast, the three day Miami Pop Festival.

The Doors release the Robbie Krieger tune “Touch Me”…with a guitar intro that sounds an awful lot like a Four Seasons song.

1970
A massive snowstorm strands Mountain, but the show must go on.  Stepping in as a headliner at this Public Hall show is fifties legend Little Richard!

Just 38 years old, Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson dies in California in an accidental drowning near a friend’s yacht.
Sadly, his brother Brian, who was dealing with his own issues, did not attend the 
1982 
Siouxsie and the Banshees play a massive gig at London’s Hammersmith Odeon.
