1956

They were nicknamed “The Million Dollar Quartet” and boy, did they live up to that reputation. A musical summit at Sun Records in Memphis brings together Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley for an impromptu jam session.

1976

Bob Marley barely escapes death on this date  in 1976 during an attempted assassination.

2013
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy brings a healthy dose of swing to its Kent Stage appearances.
