Time to take a look back into this day in rock history: February 14
Kent Stage vets Chad and Jeremy, surfing the giant wave of the British Invasion, appear on ABC-TV’s Patty Duke Show as the singing duo Nigel and Patrick.
The Dave Clark Five’s “Bits and Pieces” goes to #2 on the charts. Interesting recording process on this one. Some of the percussion are band members jumping on an exercise board.
During a visit to Philadelphia, John Lennon and Yoko One co-host the Mike Douglas Show. They interview musicians, politicians and radical activists and even discuss the Kent State May 4th incident. At one point Lennon plays with one of his musical heroes, Chuck Berry. Check out Berry’s face when Yoko pipes in.
