Major hit for the Rolling Stones as they release a remake of Buddy Holly’s “Not Fade Away”.  They perform the song in Cleveland on the Mike Douglas Show.
1970
Big TV debut for the Jackson 5 as they perform “I Want You Back” on American Bandstand.
1971
As his 23-year run draws to an end, Ed Sullivan devotes an entire show to honoring the fifth anniversary of The 5th Dimension.
