1968
Big night for the Beatles at the 10th annual Grammys as Sgt. Pepper wins album of the year, best cover and best-engineered and recorded album.  Still, word comes later it wasn’t an easy album to make.
1980
Buddy Holly‘s glasses and the Big Bopper’s watch found in the wreckage of their plane crash in 1959 turn up in a police file in Mason City.  Holly’s widow gets legal help to get the glasses returned.

2012
He was only 66.  Former Monkees singer Davy Jones dies in his sleep in his Florida home following a massive heart attack.

2019
Loudon Wainwright III brings a “Dead Skunk” to his Kent Stage show.
