This Day in Rock History: February 5th
Time to take a look back into this day in rock history:
February 5
1966
A hit because of Alka-Seltzer! The T-Bones score with the instrumental “No Matter What Shape” that’s used as a music bed in a commercial. The group is actually Dan Hamilton, Joe Frank Carollo and Tom Reynolds who would have a hit five years later with “Don’t Pull Your Love”
1967
The Beatles film an early video for “Penny Lane’. They are seen strolling around London’s Royal theater in Stratford and on Angel Lane.
2017
A loss on the local scene as former Outsiders and Climax front man Sonny Geraci passes at age 70. He scored major hits twice with “Time Won’t Let Me” (1966) and “Precious and Few” (1972).
