1969
The British group Scaffold charts with the novelty song “Lily the Pink”.  It features a singer named Mike McGear who’s actually Mike McCartney, Paul’s brother.

1970
Neighbors hit dairy farmer Max Yasgur with a lawsuit asking $35,000 in damages after attendees of the Woodstock festival walk all over their property.  Meanwhile, the promoters have over 70 suits to deal with.

2020
Rush drummer Neil Peart loses his three-year battle against brain cancer.  He was 67 years old.
