This Day in Rock History: November 15th

Time to take a look back into this day in rock history: November 15

Whoa!  Where was this show?  Akron’s Firestone High School (alma mater of fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Chrissie Hynde, as well as Rachel Sweet and the Black Keys) hosted Aerosmith on a triple bill on this date in 1974.  They wouldn’t be playing venues like these for long.

1986

Seen by many as America’s first real punk band, the Ramones had a greater following on stage than record sales.  Their groundbreaking first album finally went gold 38 years after its 1976 release.  It didn’t stop them from being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

2013
