This Day in Rock History: November 29th

Time to take a look back into this day in rock history: November 29

1974

Dave Mason was getting critical  acclaim from his time in Traffic and after, but was still searching for a musical identity with his solo career. This show is similar to the one he performed on this date at the University of Akron on the same tour in 1974.

1975

The “Night Tripper”, Dr. John, brought his voodoo tinged catalog of songs to Cleveland’s Smiling Dog Saloon on this date in 1975.  This soundboard concert from that same tour gives an indication of what the audience heard that night.

2018

With a nod to blues pioneer Charley Patton, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band included ”Banty Rooster Blues” in their stage repertoire.
