1971

The Jefferson Airplane spin off Hot Tuna sets up shop at Case Western Reserve’s Emerson Gym.

Long time friends of the Grateful Dead, the New Riders visit Cleveland’s Smiling Dog.

1977

EMI signs the Sex Pistols and their troubles start from there.  RAK, Polydor and Chysalis were also interested but were outbid.  Just ten weeks later the label parts company with the band after a protest strike at the pressing plant.  It costs the label $60,000 in US dollars.  They later blast EMI in a song by the same name.

2022
Another homecoming as Blues Traveler frontman John Popper was born in Chardon, Ohio.
