1977
Marc Bolan of T.Rex is killed in a car crash at age 29. The car was driven by his long time girlfriend Gloria Jones and happened when she smashed into a tree in London. They were returning to Bolan‘s home after a night out at a Mayfair restaurant. A local man witnessed the crash and said, ‘When I arrived a girl was lying on the bonnet and a man with long dark curly hair was stretched out in the road – there was a hell of a mess.’2017
